6 Best Alternatives to the Bestway Power Steel 14’ x (2026)

How each alternative compares

Intex 14' 9" x 7' 3" Rectangular Metal Frame Pool

The Intex 14' 9" Rectangular Metal Frame Pool swaps the circular footprint for a rectangular shape measuring 14' 9" by 7' 3". This design offers a deeper swimming area at 33 inches, compared to the 42-inch height of the Bestway Power Steel. You gain more linear swimming space, which is useful for laps. However, you give up the included 1,000-gallon filter pump and the ClickConnect tool-free assembly. This model requires a separate filtration system. It suits you if you prefer a rectangular layout and have the space for its larger dimensions. The metal frame construction provides stability, but you must handle pump installation yourself.

Bestway Steel Pro MAX 10' x 30" Pool with Pump

The Bestway Steel Pro MAX 10' x 30" Pool is a compact alternative for smaller patios. It reduces the diameter from 14 feet to 10 feet and lowers the height from 42 inches to 30 inches. This results in a significantly smaller water capacity, making it less suitable for large families. You keep the included filter pump and the durable steel frame construction. The 30-inch height is easier to enter and exit but offers less depth for swimming. This option fits you if your backyard space is limited. It provides a complete setup with filtration but sacrifices the spacious volume of the 14-foot model. The smaller footprint makes storage and setup quicker.

Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool with Filter Pump

The Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool with Filter Pump offers a middle ground in size. It is smaller than the 14-foot Bestway, with a 12-foot diameter and 30-inch height. You still get an included filter pump, which maintains water quality without extra purchases. The 30-inch height is lower than the 42-inch Bestway, which may be preferable for children or easier access. The metal frame construction is similar, ensuring durability. However, you lose the ClickConnect assembly system, which means standard assembly tools are likely needed. This pool suits you if you want a ready-to-use filtration system but need a smaller footprint. It provides adequate capacity for casual swimming in tighter spaces.

Bestway Steel Pro MAX 15' x 48" Pool

The Bestway Steel Pro MAX 15' x 48" Pool increases both size and depth. It expands the diameter to 15 feet and raises the height to 48 inches, offering more water volume than the 14-foot, 42-inch Bestway. The steel frame is corrosion-resistant, matching the original's durability. However, this model does not include a pump. You must purchase a filtration system separately. This gives you flexibility to choose a pump that fits your needs. The 48-inch height allows for deeper swimming. This option fits you if you want a larger capacity pool and are willing to handle pump installation. It is ideal for those prioritizing volume and depth over convenience.

Intex Ultra XTR 18ft x 52in Round Pool Set

The Intex Ultra XTR 18ft x 52in Round Pool Set is a significant upgrade in size. It features an 18-foot diameter and a 52-inch height, providing much larger capacity than the 14-foot model. It includes a sand filter pump, which is more robust than the standard cartridge filters often used with smaller pools. The Ultra XTR frame is designed for heavy-duty use. You give up the compact nature of the 14-foot pool, requiring more space and a stronger foundation. This model suits you if you have a large backyard and need deep, durable swimming. The included sand filter reduces maintenance frequency. It is a practical choice for serious backyard swimming without the need for additional pump purchases.

Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool

The Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool is a basic option without a pump. It shares the 12-foot diameter and 30-inch height with the pumped version but excludes the filtration system. This makes it lighter and cheaper to assemble, but you must buy a pump separately. The metal frame provides standard durability. You lose the convenience of the included pump found in the Bestway Power Steel. This model fits you if you already own a compatible filter pump or plan to use the pool without filtration. It is suitable for smaller yards where the 14-foot pool is too large. The 30-inch height offers easy access, but the lack of included filtration is a notable trade-off.
