Key specs explained
Jet Count: 180
This count indicates the number of air bubbles circulating through the water. You receive widespread coverage across the seating area. This setup targets muscle relaxation through consistent bubbling action. It suits groups who prefer full-body immersion over focused pressure. You should compare this against models with fewer jets, which offer less comprehensive massage coverage for larger parties.
Jet Type: AirJet bubble jets
AirJet technology mixes air with water to create gentle bubbles rather than high-pressure streams. This provides a soothing, widespread sensation rather than deep tissue targeting. It is ideal for users seeking relaxation and warmth. You will find this distinct from hydrotherapy systems that use targeted water jets. This type is generally quieter and gentler for casual soaking sessions.
Material: 3-layer Tritech
This construction method layers durable materials to resist punctures and tears. It enhances the tub's longevity against rough surfaces and daily use. You benefit from increased structural integrity compared to single-layer vinyl options. This material choice signals better resistance to wear and tear. You should look for this specification when prioritizing long-term durability in inflatable spa models.
Control Type: Digital panel, Bestway Connect app
You can manage settings via the physical interface or a mobile application. The app allows remote adjustment of temperature, timers, and massage functions. This flexibility lets you prepare the water before you enter. You benefit from precise control without needing to approach the unit. Compare this to manual-only models, which require physical interaction for every change.
Design and Build Details
The listing describes a 3-layer Tritech outer shell reinforced with MaxHold fabric internal beams. This construction aims to improve air pressure retention and stability while reducing weight for portability. The material is designed to resist punctures and damage. An insulated cover and walls are claimed to be up to 40% more energy-efficient than similar models. This feature helps maintain water temperature with less power. The unit also includes Freeze Shield technology to protect the pump and liner from cold weather damage.
Dimensions are listed as 85 by 85 by 28 inches. This circular layout provides seating for five to seven people. The wide footprint requires a flat, level surface for safe inflation and use. You should ensure your outdoor area can accommodate this diameter without obstruction. The gray wicker finish offers a textured appearance that blends with patio decor.
Control options include a digital panel and the Bestway Connect app. The app allows you to adjust temperature, timers, and massage settings remotely. The digital panel provides local access to heat the water up to 104°F. A built-in ChemConnect dispenser helps maintain water clarity by dispensing chlorine. These controls let you manage the spa environment from your device or directly at the unit. The Power-Saving Timer allows scheduling up to 40 days in advance, according to the listing.
Setup and everyday use guide
You begin setup by inflating the Coleman SaluSpa Sicily using its included pump. The unit expands to a diameter of 85 inches with a height of 28 inches. This circular shape accommodates five to seven people. The MaxHold fabric internal beams help retain air pressure during this process, ensuring the structure remains stable. Once inflated, you connect the water supply and power source. The digital control panel allows you to set the water temperature up to 104˚F. You can also adjust the heating schedule using the Power-Saving Timer, which supports planning up to 40 days in advance. For daily operation, the Bestway Connect app provides remote control capabilities. You can monitor and adjust the temperature, timer, filter status, and massage system directly from your device. The 180 AirJet bubble jets create a widespread massage effect suitable for group relaxation. Water maintenance is handled by the ChemConnect dispenser, which releases chlorine evenly to keep the water clear. The Freeze Shield function automatically protects the pump and liner from cold weather damage. The insulated walls and cover help maintain heat efficiency, reducing energy usage compared to non-insulated models. This model complies with APSP-14 and Title 20 standards, making it legal for sale in states like California, New York, and Washington. The gray wicker finish offers a neutral aesthetic for outdoor spaces. You do not need to manually adjust the jets, as they operate automatically with the pump.
Before You Buy This Tub
You need a stable, level surface for this 85-inch unit. The inflatable base requires careful placement to avoid punctures from sharp objects. Check your local electrical outlet capacity before installation. This model connects to the Bestway Connect app, so ensure your smartphone is compatible. You must maintain water chemistry using the ChemConnect dispenser. Regularly test chlorine levels to keep the water clear and safe. The insulated walls help retain heat, but you still need to monitor energy usage. This option fits well if you prioritize group seating and app control. It differs from smaller models by offering more bubble jets for wider coverage. Consider your space constraints, as the circular footprint demands adequate room. You should also verify regional energy compliance if you live in states with strict regulations. The Freeze Shield function adds protection during cold months. Plan for monthly maintenance to ensure the pump and liner remain in good condition. This tub suits those who want digital convenience and durable construction.
