Intex Ultra XTR 24ft Round Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How each alternative compares

Intex Ultra XTR 24ft x 12ft Rectangular Pool

This rectangular model keeps the 52-inch height and sand filtration you like in the round version, but shifts the footprint to 24 by 12 feet. You gain more usable swimming length and corner space, which helps larger groups spread out. The galvanized steel frame and 3-ply liner remain consistent with the Ultra XTR line. You trade the symmetrical round shape for a rectangular layout that may fit narrower yards better. The sand filter pump continues to offer low-maintenance water clarity without frequent cartridge changes. If your yard is wider than it is deep, this shape provides a practical alternative while maintaining the same durable build quality.

Bestway Power Steel 24' x 12' x 52" Frame Pool

The Bestway Power Steel offers the same 24 by 12 foot rectangular footprint and 52-inch height, matching the large capacity of the bigger Intex options. It includes a sand filter pump for similar low-maintenance filtration. The frame uses steel construction, though the specific coating details differ from Intex’s powder-coated galvanized design. You get a comparable swimming area with a slightly different aesthetic and structural approach. This pick suits buyers who want the rectangular layout and sand filtration but prefer a different brand’s frame engineering. The dimensions allow for ample space, though the shape change requires a different yard layout than the original round pool.

Intex Ultra XTR 24ft x 12ft Pool with Canopy

This Intex Ultra XTR rectangular pool combines the 24 by 12 foot size with a 52-inch height, providing significantly more volume than the round model. It retains the galvanized steel frame and sand filter pump, ensuring consistent durability and easy maintenance. You gain a larger swimming surface area, which is better for active swimming or larger groups. The rectangular shape fits differently in yards, potentially offering better use of narrow spaces. While the round pool offers equal access from all sides, this rectangular version provides more linear swimming distance. It is a strong choice if you want the same reliable Intex build quality but need more space.

WaterThat 12ft Steel Frame Pool Kit

The WaterThat 12ft Steel Frame Pool Kit is a compact alternative with a 12-foot diameter and 52-inch height. It is much smaller than the 24-foot original, making it suitable for tighter backyards or patios. It includes a ladder, which adds convenience for entry and exit. The kit features a steel frame and comes with a sand filter pump for water clarity. You sacrifice a large capacity of over 12,000 gallons for a manageable footprint that is easier to assemble and store. This option fits buyers who want the sand filtration benefit but do not have the yard space for a massive round pool.

Bestway Steel Pro MAX 10' x 30" Pool with Pump

The Bestway Steel Pro MAX 10ft Round Pool is a compact round option with a 30-inch height, significantly lower than the 52-inch original. It is designed for small spaces and easy assembly. The pool uses a filter pump, though the specific type is not detailed as sand filtration in the same way. You give up the large capacity and high walls of the Ultra XTR for a lightweight, portable design. This pick is ideal for small yards or temporary setups where space and weight are primary concerns. It offers a similar round shape but in a much smaller scale, suitable for children or limited areas.

Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool with Filter Pump

The Intex 12ft x 30in Round Metal Frame Pool is a smaller round pool with a 30-inch height. It fits compact yards and patios where the 24-foot model would be too large. It includes a filter pump for water maintenance. You trade the high capacity and deep swimming area of the Ultra XTR for a simpler, space-efficient setup. The metal frame provides basic support, though it lacks the heavy-duty galvanized construction of the Ultra XTR line. This option is best for small groups or limited spaces where a full-sized pool is impractical. It offers a familiar Intex quality in a more manageable size.
