How Alternatives Compare to Intex
Intex Ultra XTR 24ft x 12ft Rectangular Pool
This model shares the same 24 by 12 foot rectangular footprint and 52 inch height as the original. It also uses a sand filter pump for water clarity. The key difference is the absence of the protective canopy included with the top pick. You get the same durable galvanized steel frame and puncture-resistant 3-ply PVC liner. This option suits buyers who want the large capacity and easy assembly of the Ultra XTR series but do not need the extra sun protection. It is a straightforward choice for those prioritizing the pool structure itself over bundled accessories. The dimensions remain consistent, ensuring it fits similar yard spaces.
Bestway Power Steel 24' x 12' x 52" Frame Pool
The Bestway Power Steel offers the identical 24 by 12 by 52 inch dimensions and gray color scheme. It also includes a sand filter pump, matching the filtration method of the Intex. The primary distinction lies in the brand construction and frame design. Bestway uses a Power Steel frame, which provides a different structural approach compared to the Intex galvanized steel locking system. This pool is a solid alternative if you prefer the Bestway brand or find it available at a different price point. It delivers the same spacious volume and rectangular layout. The 52 inch height allows for comfortable swimming. It is a reliable option for those seeking a large rectangular pool with robust filtration.
WaterThat 12ft Steel Frame Pool Kit
This WaterThat kit is significantly smaller, measuring 12 feet across with a 52 inch height. It is designed for compact backyards rather than the large rectangular spaces needed for the 24-foot models. It includes a sand filter pump and a ladder, offering a complete setup in a smaller footprint. The frame is steel, providing durability for smaller installations. This option is ideal for buyers with limited yard space who still want a steel frame pool with sand filtration. It sacrifices the large swimming area of the Intex Ultra XTR for easier placement and potentially simpler assembly in tight areas. The Ashland color gives it a distinct look. It fits those prioritizing convenience and space efficiency over volume.
Intex Ultra XTR 24ft Round Pool
This Intex model shifts from a rectangular to a round shape, with a 24-foot diameter and 52-inch height. It offers a spacious volume suitable for families, matching the height of the rectangular original. It also features a sand filter pump and a sturdy steel frame, maintaining the brand's focus on durability. The circular layout provides a different swimming experience and may fit better in open yards where a rectangle is not feasible. It retains the easy assembly and puncture-resistant liner qualities. This choice is best for buyers who prefer a round pool but want the same reliable filtration and frame construction as the rectangular Ultra XTR. It is a versatile option for various yard shapes.
Bestway APX 365 20' x 52" Pool Set
The Bestway APX 365 is a round pool with a 20-foot diameter and 52-inch height. It is smaller in overall footprint than the 24-foot rectangular models but offers substantial capacity. It includes a sand filter pump and a sturdy frame, similar to the Intex features. This model is designed for year-round use, suggesting enhanced durability. The gray color matches the aesthetic of the rectangular options. It is a good alternative for buyers who want a round pool with reliable sand filtration and a robust build. The 20-foot diameter fits well in many yards. It provides a different shape option while maintaining the core requirements of filtration and frame strength. It suits those who prefer circular layouts with high durability.
Intex Ultra XTR 20ft x 10ft Rectangular Pool
This Intex Ultra XTR model is a rectangular pool measuring 20 by 10 by 52 feet. It is narrower than the 24 by 12-foot original, making it suitable for yards with limited width. It retains the 52-inch height and includes a sand filter pump, ensuring consistent water quality. The galvanized steel frame and puncture-resistant liner are standard features of the series. This option is ideal for buyers who want the rectangular shape and large capacity but have space constraints. It offers a balance between size and fit. The 20 by 10-foot layout provides ample swimming area while being more adaptable to narrower yards. It is a practical choice for those needing a slightly smaller rectangular pool with the same reliable construction.
