Square vs Round Hot Tub Specs
Shape and Footprint
The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs is a square inflatable hot tub with dimensions of 71 inches by 71 inches. This shape offers a compact footprint that fits well in corners or smaller patios. The Coleman SaluSpa AirJet is a round hot tub measuring 85 inches by 85 inches. Its circular design requires more open floor space but provides a continuous seating perimeter. You must measure your available area carefully. The square model saves space, while the round model demands a larger clearance zone for installation and maintenance access.
Seating Capacity
Capacity differs significantly between these two units. The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs is rated for 4 to 6 people. Its square layout creates defined seating zones along the walls. The Coleman SaluSpa AirJet accommodates up to 7 people. The larger round diameter allows for more occupants to sit comfortably around the perimeter. If you frequently host larger groups, the Coleman model offers extra room. For smaller households or couples, the Bestway model provides ample space without wasting water or energy on unused seats.
Jet Configuration
Both hot tubs utilize AirJet technology for their massage systems. The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs does not list a specific jet count in its published specifications. It relies on the AirJet system for general bubbling massage. The Coleman SaluSpa AirJet explicitly lists 180 soothing air jets. This high number of jets provides a more widespread and intense massage experience across the entire seating area. If you prefer targeted pressure and maximum coverage, the Coleman model has a clear advantage in jet density.
Control Method
Control options vary between the two brands. The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs is compatible with the Bestway Connect app. This allows you to control temperature, timer, filter, and the AirJet massage system directly from your smartphone. The Coleman SaluSpa AirJet specifications do not mention app compatibility or smart controls. It likely uses a physical control panel on the pump. If you value remote management and digital scheduling, the Bestway model is the superior choice for convenience and modern integration.
Water Capacity
Water volume affects heating time and chemical usage. The Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs holds 222 gallons of water. This smaller volume heats up relatively quickly and uses less water overall. The Coleman SaluSpa AirJet holds 314 gallons of water when filled to 80 percent. This larger volume retains heat longer but requires more energy to reach the target temperature. You will use more chemicals and water for maintenance with the Coleman model. The Bestway model is more efficient for smaller spaces and lower water consumption.
