6 Best Alternatives to the SunSwell 18ft X 9ft X (2026)

How each alternative compares

Bestway Steel Pro MAX 14ft x 48in Round Pool Set

The Bestway Steel Pro MAX 14ft pool shifts from a large rectangular layout to a compact round design. Its 168-inch diameter fits smaller yards better than the SunSwell’s 213-inch length. You lose some swimming length, but gain a complete kit with a pool cover. The 48-inch height matches the SunSwell’s depth closely, ensuring similar water volume per square foot. This round shape offers a uniform footprint, which simplifies placement in irregular spaces. It includes a filter pump and ladder like the SunSwell, but the galvanized steel frame is paired with a different liner construction. Choose this if your yard lacks the linear space for a 18ft rectangle but still needs a durable, all-in-one setup.

Bestway Steel Pro MAX 15' x 48" Pool Set

This Bestway Steel Pro MAX 15ft model increases the round diameter to 180 inches, offering more surface area than the 14ft version. However, it still lacks the rectangular swimming lanes of the SunSwell. The 49-inch height provides slightly more depth than the SunSwell’s 47-inch profile. You get a pool cover, filter pump, and ladder included, mirroring the SunSwell’s accessory list. The circular shape is easier to fit in corners than a 213-inch long rectangle. If you prefer a round pool for casual lounging over structured swimming, this 15ft option provides a balanced middle ground between the smaller 14ft model and the larger SunSwell. It is ideal for those who want a complete set without the installation complexity of a large rectangular frame.

Evajoy 32ft x 16ft Rectangular Frame Pool

The Evajoy 32ft x 16ft pool is significantly larger than the SunSwell, with a 384-inch length and 192-inch width. It offers a 52-inch height, providing more depth for swimming than the SunSwell’s 47-inch profile. This model includes a sand filter pump in addition to a standard filter pump, which may offer different filtration characteristics. You get a pool cover, ladder, and PVC material similar to the SunSwell’s liner. The steel frame construction is comparable, but the sheer size requires a much larger yard. This alternative is for buyers who need serious swimming capacity and have the space for a 32ft rectangle. It gives up the compact footprint of the SunSwell for expansive water volume and advanced filtration options.

WaterThat 21ft Steel Frame Pool Kit

The WaterThat 21ft pool offers a rectangular shape similar to the SunSwell but with a 180-inch width and length. It features a 52-inch height, which is taller than the SunSwell’s 47-inch design. This pool includes a sand filter pump and a standard filter pump, providing robust water clarity options. You get a ladder and use steel frame construction like the SunSwell. The Ashland color option differs from the SunSwell’s gray packaging. This model is suited for large backyards where the SunSwell’s 18ft length might feel too small. It maintains the rectangular swimming experience but increases capacity and depth. If you need more water volume without switching to a round shape, this 21ft option is a practical upgrade in size and filtration.

Intex Prism Frame 16ft Rectangular Pool

The Intex Prism Frame 16ft pool is smaller than the SunSwell, with a 192-inch length and 96-inch width. It has a 42-inch height, which is shallower than the SunSwell’s 47-inch depth. This model includes a filter pump but lacks a ladder in its standard feature list. The rectangular shape is preserved, making it suitable for medium-sized yards where the SunSwell’s 213-inch length is too large. The rust-resistant joints are a specific design feature not mentioned for the SunSwell. You trade capacity and depth for a more compact footprint. This option is ideal for buyers who want a rectangular pool but have limited space. It offers a simpler setup with fewer accessories, focusing on the core swimming area and filtration.

Intex Prism Frame 20ft Round Pool Set

The Intex 20ft Prism Frame pool shifts to a round shape with a 20-foot diameter, offering a different footprint than the SunSwell’s rectangle. It features a 52-inch height, providing more depth than the SunSwell’s 47-inch profile. This model includes a pool cover, filter pump, and ladder, matching the SunSwell’s accessory list. The round design is easier to fit in large yards with irregular boundaries. You get clear water filtration and durable joints similar to other frame pools. The 251-pound weight indicates a sturdy construction. This alternative is for buyers who prefer a round pool for social gatherings over linear swimming. It offers high capacity and a complete kit, sacrificing the rectangular swimming lanes of the SunSwell for a more versatile outdoor layout.
