The Bestway Lineup at a Glance
Compact models for two to four bathers suit small yards. The Bestway SaluSpa Aruba uses a 67-inch width with 110 air jets for tight patios. Mid-sized options seat four to six people with 140 jets in round or square shapes. The Bestway SaluSpa Honolulu spans 77 inches for more interior room, while the Bestway SaluSpa Hot Springs uses a 71-inch square footprint to fit deck corners.
Bigger groups require expanded shells and higher jet counts. The Bestway SaluSpa Bali measures 85 inches across with 180 air jets to fit up to seven people. Aside from dimensions, control type divides the range. You can select standard panels or smartphone app controls with scheduling timers. Other models offer specialized hardware, including integrated LED systems and dedicated seats.
Where the Bestway Range Fits Best
Bestway fits you if you want an inflatable air-bubble spa sized between 67 inches for two bathers and 85 inches for up to seven. The lineup offers round and square silhouettes, with jet counts spanning 110 to 180 AirJets. If you want nighttime illumination, the Hawaii LED provides integrated lighting, while multiple models include smartphone connectivity.
Know the limits before buying. The catalog contains no spas seating eight or more adults, and all options rely entirely on air-bubble systems rather than targeted hydrotherapy water jets. You will also find no rectangular or oval profiles across the selection.
If you want a permanent indoor basin instead, evaluate the best freestanding tub bathtubs by capacity and material.
How to Choose a Bestway Hot Tub
-
Footprint and Bather Capacity
You must match the outer footprint of the spa to your available space and intended group size. Bestway spans compact diameters like the 67-inch Bestway SaluSpa Aruba 2-3 Person Inflatable Hot Tub up to expansive 85-inch models built for five to seven bathers. While smaller diameters suit compact patios and solo or couple use, wider options give multiple adults sufficient legroom. Check the length and width specifications against your cleared ground space, ensuring you leave clearance around the perimeter for the external pump unit and access.
-
Digital Controls and Mobile Connectivity
Look closely at the control interface before making a purchase. Basic Bestway tubs rely strictly on an integrated pump panel, whereas smart models include app control. Models such as the Bestway SaluSpa Milan 4-6 Person Smart Hot Tub let you adjust water temperatures and program heating schedules from your smartphone via the Bestway Connect app. If you want your tub ready to soak immediately upon returning home, or desire a 40-day advance timer to schedule heating cycles ahead of time, prioritize listings with mobile app connectivity over standard topside digital panels.
-
AirJet Bubble Count
Examine the total number of AirJets to determine massage coverage. Bestway configurations range from 110 jets on compact units up to 180 AirJets on larger designs like the Bestway SaluSpa Bali 5-7 Person Inflatable Hot Tub. While 110 to 140 jets provide adequate bubbles for two to four bathers, spreading that volume across more occupants can dilute the bubble intensity. If you frequently host five or more people, select a 180-jet system to ensure consistent bubble coverage across the entire floor perimeter for every seated bather.
-
Freeze Shield Winter Readiness
If you plan to use your spa during colder months, check for integrated Freeze Shield technology. This automated heating function prevents internal components and water lines from freezing when ambient outdoor conditions dip. For example, the Bestway SaluSpa Honolulu 6-Person Inflatable Hot Tub incorporates Freeze Shield to protect the pump and liner down to temperatures above 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Operating an inflatable spa below this threshold can risk internal damage, so always verify your local winter temperatures against the manufacturer operating range before installing outdoors.
-
Wall Material Construction
Check the material specifications of the inflatable spa walls to gauge structural stability and puncture resistance. Bestway builds spas with reinforced materials such as DuraPlus or Tritech fabrics. The Bestway SaluSpa Hawaii 4-6 Person App-Controlled Hot Tub uses Tritech construction to retain its shape after repeated inflation and deflation cycles without stretching or deforming. If your tub will sit on coarse patio surfaces or experience frequent group use, verify that the spec sheet lists reinforced multi-layer construction rather than plain, unreinforced vinyl.
-
Energy Compliance and Insulation
Pay attention to efficiency ratings and insulation hardware to limit thermal loss during standby. Several Bestway models feature Energy-Saving designations and Title 20 compliance. The Bestway SaluSpa Cancun Energy-Efficient Hot Tub includes insulated construction and thermal top covers that retain heated water between uses. Selecting a model certified for energy efficiency reduces heat dissipation while the heater is idle. Check for included insulated covers and thermal barrier ratings if you want to keep the water temperature steady between sessions.
Frequently asked questions
Can you use a Bestway inflatable hot tub in freezing temperatures?
You can run select models in colder conditions due to built-in Freeze Shield technology, though specific limits apply. For example, the Bestway SaluSpa Honolulu requires ambient temperatures above 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Other units like the SaluSpa Cancun and SaluSpa Aruba feature automatic freeze prevention hardware. These mechanisms prevent internal water from freezing, protecting vital pump parts during temperature drops.
How do you control a Bestway smart hot tub remotely?
You control compatible models directly through your smartphone using the Bestway Connect app. Spas such as the SaluSpa Hawaii, SaluSpa Milan, and SaluSpa Bali integrate mobile connectivity for remote management. This functionality lets you adjust temperature targets, operate air massage jets, and configure heating timers. Certain models like the Hawaii and SaluSpa Toronto offer scheduling features up to 40 days in advance.
What materials do Bestway hot tubs use to prevent punctures?
Bestway builds puncture resistance into its tubs using proprietary reinforced materials such as DuraPlus and Tritech. For example, the SaluSpa Honolulu features three-layer DuraPlus walls to resist punctures and stretching over time. Similarly, the SaluSpa Hawaii utilizes Tritech construction for structural durability. These engineered fabrics ensure the walls retain their shape and integrity through repeated inflation and long-term outdoor placement.
Which Bestway models include built-in seats or headrests?
Most models feature flat cushioned floors, but specific packages provide dedicated internal seating. The Bestway Honolulu 4-6 Person AirJet bundle includes two dedicated seats to raise bathers off the tub floor. For larger setups, the Bestway Coleman Sicily 5-7 Person model supplies dedicated seats and headrests. These factory accessories offer extra ergonomic support and comfort without requiring separate aftermarket add-ons.
What is the difference between round and square Bestway hot tubs?
Shape dictates interior legroom and how the tub fits your outdoor area. Square designs like the 71-inch SaluSpa Hot Springs and Hawaii LED tuck neatly into corners and provide defined seating areas for users. Round models like the 77-inch Honolulu distribute bathers along an open circular perimeter. Your choice depends on whether you prefer corner placement or open communal seating.
How many air jets do Bestway inflatable spas have?
Jet counts across the Bestway range vary from 110 to 180 AirJets based on water capacity and footprint. The compact SaluSpa Aruba provides 110 air jets, while the SaluSpa Fiji features 120 jets. Mid-sized tubs like the Cancun and Honolulu feature 140 bubble jets around the floor perimeter. Larger selections, including the SaluSpa Bali and Coleman Sicily, feature 180 AirJets.
What does Title 20 energy compliance mean for a Bestway spa?
Title 20 compliance signifies that the spa meets certified energy efficiency standards for thermal insulation and standby electrical draw. Spas such as the SaluSpa Cancun, SaluSpa Hawaii, and SaluSpa Toronto include insulated construction that complies with these regulations. This engineering reduces ambient heat loss through the floor and side walls, helping the pump retain water warmth more effectively between heating cycles.
