The dimensions are 71 by 71 by 28 inches. You control the system via the Bestway Connect app. This guide explains what these numbers mean for your setup.

Who it fits
Good fit for
This hot tub suits buyers who want a spacious square layout for four to six people. The 222-gallon capacity supports larger groups. The app control is ideal for users who prefer managing settings from their smartphone. The EnergySense insulation helps those looking to reduce energy costs. The Freeze Shield feature makes it a viable option for colder climates, allowing you to keep the tub set up year-round without worrying about winter damage.
Who should skip it
You should skip this model if you prefer a round shape, as this listing is strictly square. It also lacks a dedicated remote control, relying entirely on the app. If you need precise jet pressure rather than air massage, the AirJet system may not meet your needs. The 28-inch height might be too low for some users. Additionally, the pump handles inflation, heating, and filtration, which means it is the single point of control for all functions.
Verdict: The SaluSpa Hot Springs is a practical, energy-efficient choice for groups needing a square layout. Its app control and insulation features make it suitable for year-round use in various climates.
Key specs explained
Jet Type: AirJet
This system uses air rather than water jets for massage. You get a gentle, full-body sensation that covers the back and shoulders. It is quieter than traditional hydrotherapy jets. This suits you if you prefer a soothing soak over intense muscle targeting. It also reduces maintenance since there are no complex nozzle systems to clean or unclog.
Material: Tritech 3-layer
The outer shell uses three bonded layers of durable material. This construction resists punctures and tears from daily use. It provides better stability than single-layer vinyl tubs. You benefit from longer lifespan and fewer repairs. When comparing options, look for this multi-layer build to ensure the tub holds shape and resists damage from sharp objects.
Dimensions: 71" x 71" x 28"
The square footprint measures 71 inches on each side. The height is 28 inches, allowing for comfortable seating. This size fits four to six adults without feeling cramped. You need a flat, level surface that accommodates this square shape. It is larger than round models of similar capacity, offering more corner space for leg stretching.
Control Type: Bestway Connect app
You manage temperature, timers, and jets via a smartphone app. This removes the need to bend down to physical buttons. You can adjust settings remotely before entering the tub. This benefits users who want convenience and precise scheduling. Compare this to manual controls, which require physical interaction and offer less flexibility for remote monitoring.
Seating Capacity: 4-6 Person
The tub is rated for up to six adults. The 222-gallon water volume supports this group size comfortably. You get adequate space for socializing without overcrowding. This capacity is ideal for small families or regular gatherings. When shopping, verify the water volume matches the seat count to ensure you do not compromise on comfort or heating efficiency.
Design And Build Specs
The listing describes the SaluSpa Hot Springs as a square inflatable hot tub with a Stone Grey Knit finish. Its outer shell uses Tritech three-layer material for puncture resistance. This construction aims to keep the tub durable while remaining lightweight. Inside, MaxHold fabric beams help retain air pressure, which supports stability during use. You can expect a firm structure that holds its shape under water weight.
The unit measures 71 inches by 71 inches by 28 inches. This square footprint accommodates four to six adults. The water capacity is listed at 222 gallons. This volume allows for comfortable seating without feeling cramped. The square shape also fits well in standard patios or decks, offering more corner space than round models. You can place it on flat, level surfaces to ensure even weight distribution.
Controls are managed through the Bestway Connect app on your smartphone. You can adjust the temperature up to 104°F, set timers, and manage the filtration system remotely. The included pump inflates the tub and heats the water. This digital control removes the need for manual dial adjustments on the unit itself. The setup includes a cover, filter cartridge, and chemical dispenser, making it ready for immediate use after inflation. The design prioritizes smart management over physical buttons.
Setup And Daily App Control
Setup begins with the included multi-function pump. This single unit handles inflation, heating, and filtration. You fill the tub with water first, then connect the pump. The MaxHold fabric internal beams help retain air pressure during this process. The Tritech three-layer exterior material provides puncture resistance as the tub takes shape. Once inflated to its full 71-inch by 71-inch square footprint, the unit is ready for operation.
Daily control relies on the Bestway Connect app. You manage temperature, timers, filter settings, and the AirJet massage system from your smartphone. The pump heats water up to 104ºF. The Power-Saving Timer lets you schedule temperature adjustments up to 40 days in advance. This feature supports long-term energy efficiency alongside the EnergySense insulated walls and cover.
Maintenance is straightforward. The set includes a ChemConnect chemical dispenser for water treatment. You also receive a replacement filter cartridge (VI) and a repair patch for minor issues. Freeze Shield protects the pump and liner from cold damage, allowing year-round use. The 222-gallon water capacity supports four to six adults comfortably. You do not need a separate control panel or remote. The app serves as the primary interface for all adjustments. The square shape maximizes seating for the stated capacity while fitting into standard patio spaces.
What You Need Before Buying
Before you buy, check your outdoor power source. The multi-function pump requires a standard outlet, and the app needs a stable Wi-Fi connection. You must verify your router covers the tub’s location, as the Bestway Connect app controls heat, timers, and massage. The listing includes one filter cartridge and a ChemConnect dispenser, but you will need to buy replacement cartridges and chemicals separately over time. Regular maintenance keeps the water clear and the liner safe. The Freeze Shield protects the pump in cold weather, but you still need to drain and store the unit if temperatures drop below freezing for extended periods. This square model fits four to six adults, but ensure you have enough patio space for the 71-inch footprint. It suits you if you want smart controls and energy efficiency. Skip it if you prefer a round shape or lack reliable internet access for app management.
