Who it fits
Good fit for
This hot tub suits households with 4 to 6 members who want a social soaking experience. The app control is ideal for users who prefer managing settings remotely. The energy-efficient insulation benefits owners in cooler climates or those looking to reduce heating costs. Its portable design works well for patios, decks, or yards where a permanent spa is not feasible. The quick-inflate pump makes setup easy for those who value convenience over complex installation.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a permanent, in-ground spa with rigid construction. This inflatable model relies on air pressure, which may feel less stable than hard-shell units. If you require precise water temperature control beyond 104°F, this unit will not meet your needs. Users seeking advanced filtration systems beyond the basic ChemConnect dispenser might find the maintenance options limited. Those who prefer manual control without smartphone integration may find the app dependency unnecessary.
Verdict: The Bestway SaluSpa Hawaii offers a practical, app-controlled inflatable spa with strong energy efficiency. It is a solid choice for groups seeking portable relaxation with modern convenience features.
Key specs explained for this tub
Jet Count: 140
This count indicates the number of AirJet bubble jets installed in the unit. You will receive a full-body massage experience as these jets circulate water. This level of coverage is suitable for groups of up to six people. When shopping, compare this number to other models to ensure adequate circulation for your typical user count.
Seating Capacity: 4-6 person
The manufacturer rates this inflatable hot tub for four to six individuals. This capacity helps you determine if the unit fits your social needs. Larger families or frequent hosts should consider the upper limit. Smaller households may find the space generous. Always verify that your intended user count matches the listed capacity for comfort.
Material: 3-layer Tritech
This material specification refers to a durable outer layer designed to resist punctures and damage. It surrounds internal MaxHold fabric beams for stability. The unit is built for outdoor relaxation in various weather conditions.
Setup and daily operation details
Setting up this hot tub begins with inflation. The included pump handles this task, filling the MaxHold fabric beams to create a stable structure. You then secure the 3-layer Tritech outer shell. The digital control panel is positioned for easy access during this phase. Once inflated, you fill the tub with water. The system allows you to heat the water up to 104°F. You can adjust this temperature using the physical panel or the Bestway Connect app. The app gives you control over the massage system and filter settings. A key feature is the Power-Saving Timer. This allows you to schedule temperature changes up to 40 days in advance. This planning helps manage energy use efficiently. The unit meets APSP-14 and Title 20 standards. This compliance ensures it meets specific energy efficiency conditions for sale in states like California, New York, and Washington. Daily maintenance involves the ChemConnect dispenser. This component maintains water clarity by evenly dispersing chlorine. You do not need to guess the dosage. The system handles the distribution automatically. The 140 AirJet bubble jets activate when you start the massage system. You can control their intensity via the app or panel. The insulated walls and cover help retain heat. This design reduces the energy needed to maintain your chosen temperature. The portable nature means you can deflate and move the unit if needed. The lightweight construction supports this flexibility. You manage all settings from the palm of your hand or the digital interface.
Before you buy this spa
You need a stable, level surface for this inflatable unit. The 3-layer Tritech shell requires flat ground to prevent stress on the MaxHold beams. Ensure your electrical outlet meets local codes for outdoor water features. Since it connects to the Bestway Connect app, you must have a compatible smartphone. This digital control and app integration is essential for managing the 140 AirJet massage system and the Power-Saving Timer. You will also need to purchase chlorine tablets separately. The ChemConnect dispenser holds them, but it does not include the chemical itself. Regularly check the filter and clean it to maintain water clarity. This model stands out for its energy efficiency, meeting strict standards in many states. It fits well if you prioritize low operating costs alongside portable luxury. Compare its 140 jets and 40-day timer against other options to see if it matches your relaxation needs.
