Looking Beyond the VXINSTZ Square Freestanding Outdoor Shower? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How each alternative compares

TRIPHIL 316 Stainless Steel Freestanding Outdoor Shower

The TRIPHIL model uses 316 stainless steel, which offers stronger corrosion resistance than the VXINSTZ’s standard stainless steel build. This makes it a better choice for coastal or high-humidity environments where salt air accelerates rust. It also includes a dedicated foot shower, a feature the VXINSTZ lacks, allowing you to rinse sand from your feet without bending down. The TRIPHIL is slightly wider at 17.7 inches compared to the VXINSTZ’s square profile. You give up the specific matte black finish if you prefer other colors, but the enhanced durability and added foot sprayer justify the upgrade for permanent outdoor installations.

JetsBath 10-Inch Marine Grade Freestanding Shower

The JetsBath unit is built with marine-grade steel, providing superior resistance to harsh weather compared to the VXINSTZ. Its height reaches 45.3 inches, which is taller than the VXINSTZ, offering better coverage for taller users. Both units feature a 10-inch rain head and handheld sprayer, but the JetsBath focuses on rugged durability over sleek aesthetics. The color option listed is black, similar to the VXINSTZ. If you need a shower that withstands heavy saltwater exposure or intense sun, the marine-grade construction is a significant advantage. You sacrifice the compact square design for a taller, more industrial profile that prioritizes long-term material integrity.

RBROHANT Adjustable Height Freestanding Outdoor Shower

The RBROHANT adjustable model stands out for its height versatility, a feature absent in the fixed VXINSTZ design. This allows you to customize the shower height for different users or tasks. It comes in brushed nickel, offering a different aesthetic than the VXINSTZ’s matte black. Both units provide rain and handheld spray modes. The adjustable height makes it ideal for families with children or varying needs. You may find the brushed nickel finish less modern than the VXINSTZ, but the adaptability is a key benefit. The width is slightly larger at 21.7 inches. This option suits buyers who prioritize functional flexibility over a fixed, minimalist square structure.

AYWSTC 10-Inch Freestanding Outdoor Shower

The AYWSTC shower features brass construction, which differs from the stainless steel of the VXINSTZ. Brass offers excellent durability and resistance to corrosion. It supports both hot and cold water connections, whereas the VXINSTZ focuses on standard single-line setups. The height is 88.6 inches, providing a tall profile similar to other premium options. It includes a 10-inch rain head and handheld sprayer, matching the VXINSTZ’s spray capabilities. The brushed nickel finish provides a distinct look. If you have existing hot and cold water lines and want robust material quality, this is a strong alternative. You gain material versatility but lose the specific square aesthetic of the VXINSTZ.

RBROHANT 316 Stainless Steel Freestanding Shower

The RBROHANT 316 Stainless Steel model combines marine-grade durability with hot and cold water compatibility. This dual capability exceeds the VXINSTZ’s standard setup, allowing for temperature control beyond simple mixing. The brushed nickel finish offers a different visual style. Like the VXINSTZ, it includes a rain head and handheld sprayer. The 316 steel ensures better resistance to salt and moisture, making it suitable for beachside locations. You trade the simple installation of the VXINSTZ for more complex plumbing requirements. This unit is best for users who need heated water options and maximum corrosion protection in a freestanding design.

Garvee 9.3-Gallon Solar Rain Outdoor Shower

The Garvee solar shower uses a 9.3-gallon tank to heat water via the sun, eliminating the need for hot water plumbing. This is a major difference from the VXINSTZ, which relies on your existing water system. It includes a foot shower and pool cover, features the VXINSTZ does not have. The height is 85.4 inches, providing ample coverage. The black color matches the VXINSTZ aesthetic. You give up the convenience of instant hot water from your mains but gain the ability to use the shower anywhere with sunlight. This option is ideal for remote poolside areas or eco-conscious users who want to avoid complex plumbing installations.
